Hoepler Gruener Veltliner in Malaysia
Karl`s Beisl, a casual restaurant in Kuala Lumpur, features more than 100 labels of wines - Hoepler Gruener Veltliner included.
Karl`s Beisl, named after Karl Rathswohl, a long-time resident of Malaysia, offers authentic Austrian fare. ‘Beisl’, which means a bistro ’or‘ beer house in an Austrian dialect, is filled with Karl’s personal collection of antiques and artifacts. This lends an old world charm about the place.
The menu features hearty home-cooked fare of soups such as the Curried Country Potato served with melted mozzarella cheese. Also available is the hand-made bratwurst sausage. In addition, there are a range of pork dishes prepared in the traditional European way. The Farmers Platter, which is sufficient for two is a popular item and sets the stage for even more such succulent meals.
The restaurant features more than 100 labels of wines and includes Weingut Hoepler - as broadcasted on 6 April 2010 by the Austrian TV, ORF.
