HOEPLER in STAPLEHOUSE Restaurant, Atlanta
The STAPLEHOUSE in Atlanta has captivated huge attention not only because of its enthralling roots but also its excellent food. It has been nominated for the James Beard Award for BEST NEW RESTAURANT 2016 and offers creative seasonal dishes and also HOEPLER WINE.
The realisation of a long held dream requires time and sacrifice. Time was not something Ryan Hidinger had but with the help of the not for profit organisation THE GIVING KITCHEN he managed to create the STAPLEHOUSE.
Ryan had made a quite name for himself as a chef at Muss & Turner's when he first dreamt of opening his own restaurant. He and his wife Jen started in 2009 by simply cooking for dinner clubs in their home. They treated their guests to fresh, seasonal dishes with the best ingredients of the region. That was their first step to what was eventually to become the STAPLEHOUSE. However in 2012 at the age of just 35 Ryan was diagnosed with cancer and his dream seemed to be over.
Then along came THE GIVING KITCHEN, a not for profit organisation that lends support to restaurant workers who find themselves in plight in Atlanta, Georgia, USA. With their support he was able to devote himself to realising his dream. Although he did not live to make the opening of the restaurant in September 2015, STAPLEHOUSE was created because of his inspiration and positive spirit.
That STAPLEHOUSE serves HOEPLER wines and we are associated with such an inspiring and moving story fills us with enormous pride.
